Another good Snip, Snap, Snurr story. Why they're wearing shorts in winter is a little puzzling but maybe it's a Sweden thing. Not a fast-moving plot so will not work with the average child's attention span. Lots of story time spent describing them doing chores...the majority of the book is washing, scrubbing, dusting, etc. The boys do it all willingly and enthusiastically, without whining. Nice little moral lesson at the end as they finally get the sled and then give it to a poor boy, then go back to work to earn another one for themselves. Their mother looks pretty fancy for someone who has had triplets and apparently does all her own housework when not assisted by the boys. No father in the story except as an indirect source of revenue. So I'm overanalyzing a children's book but they want a review so here it is, take it for what it's worth.

Love this book and the whole set of 7. My grandsons and grand nephews 3-7 enjoy these books. They are an easy read with a message. First readers take pleasure in reading these on their own.
I remember the Snip Snap and Snur books growing up. I bought it for my grandson. Great story and colorful pictures.
You couldn't represent the simple joys of childhood any better! Given as gifts and they were loved!
